Workshop — Tatreez Alphabet Keychains

With Eman Khawaja
Ages 8–14
In Arabic and English

Traditional Palestinian embroidery tatreez is a skill many women in Palestine learn as children, both to decorate their own homes and also for income generation. Embroidery patterns are traditionally cross-stitched on dresses and headdresses. Learn basic tatreez embroidery techniques with artist Eman Al Khawaja, and then create alphabetic patterns on keychains.
